A technical course on calculating GHG emissions from hydropower reservoirs
The next G-res Tool Training course will take place on 1-5 February 2021. Participants are required to attend live streaming sessions from 1200-1600 GMT on the 1, 3 and 5 February.

This interactive online training course gives participants the basic knowledge of geographic information systems and reservoir GHG dynamics to assess projects using the G-res Tool. This training course is designed for professionals from all backgrounds interested in learning how to apply the G-res Tool.
The course will be delivered as a blend of online and offline engagement. Participants will take part in virtual classrooms where the trainers will deliver live lessons, including group activities and live Q&A sessions. Participants will receive an official certificate from IHA and will be accredited as Certified Users of the G-res Tool.

This course offers a dynamic and thorough look into GHG emissions assessments from hydropower projects. You will learn how to apply an internationally recognised methodology to calculate the GHG emissions from your reservoirs.
Yes! We encourage applications from professionals with all levels of knowledge and experience.
Yes. Participants will receive an official certificate from the International Hydropower Association and will be accredited as Certified Users of the G-res Tool.
There is no exam but you will have to present your assessment results in a group discussion.
The cost of this training is £2,500 per participant. IHA members receive a 10% discount.
